Helen and Sophie Caverly are sister-in laws from Maine, but thats the last time you'll see us add the "in-law" part! Together with ALOT of help from our family we started a thriftstore in Union Maine called The Butterfly Barn!
why name it "the butterfly barn"
In Memory of our Beautiful Butterfly
In May of 2022 we lost our brother Levi in a tragic accident. We had talked in the past about doing resale or a thriftstore type project, so when faced with the excruciating task of what to do with his apartment, we took a leap of faith. Everything we do is in honor of him, our beautiful butterfly, an affectionate nickname we had for Levi.

Whether it be sale prep, large donation juggling, taking over the register, helping come up with ideas, or the classic "dad we want to do another renovation", our family is always alongside us ready to help. The Butterfly Barn gave our whole family something to focus on in the face of tragedy, and it is certainly an endeavor we never could have pursued without them!
